[イントロダクション]
はじめまして。SAWASASAです。東京を拠点に活動している芸術家です。
私は以前、美容師として働いていましたが、想像以上に過酷な労働環境の中で双極性障害を発症し、寝たきりの状態になりました。仕事を辞めた後も闘病を続け、現在は別の仕事をしつつ、制作活動を行っています。
私が心に描く理想は、温もりを宿した芸術家の姿です。傷ついた心がそっと身を委ねられる、ぬるま湯のような表現を、静かに、惜しみなく、この世界に手渡せる人でありたいと思っています。
当初は、ただ無我夢中で作品を描いていました。転機となったのは、大切な人との出会いです。そこで私は初めて「愛」というものを実感し、愛をテーマに表現していこうと決めました。
しかし、その大切な人が去ったことで、愛とは何だったのか分からなくなり、苦悩する時間が増えていきました。愛を探し求める中で、私はいつも、正体の知れない力としての愛を受け取ってきました。それは、私が思い描いていた愛の形とは違いましたが、私の歩みのそばに、確かに在り続けていました。
答えを見つけるためでも、失くしたものを取り戻すためでもなく、何度も立ち止まりながら、私は愛を探し、描き続けています。
この本のタイトルは『無題の肌 ― Untitled Skin ―』です。
「肌」は、温もりと愛を感じる存在です。手をつなぐこと、相手を抱きしめること。その行為には、確かな温もりがあり、人肌（ぬるま湯のような）、穏やかでやさしい温度のなかで、生きていけるという感覚が込められていると思います。
今回載せている作品は、すべて本能のまま筆を走らせ、描き上げました。芸術家と名乗って、11年目になります。
私の描いた作品が、たった一人の心にそっと触れるだけでいい。人々がやさしさに包まれ、ほんのひとときでも愛で救われるのなら、それがきっと、私に与えられた使命なのだと思います。

Artist based in Tokyo since 2016.
[Introduction]
My name is SAWASASA. I am an artist based in Tokyo.
I used to work as a hairdresser, but the working environment was much moredifficult than I had imagined, I developed bipolar disorder and became bedridden.Even after I quit my job, I fight the disease. I work another job and continuedrawing.
The ideal artist is one who embodies warmth. I would like to be someone whocan quietly and generously hand over to the world expressions that are like lukewarm water.
At first, I just painted with complete fervor. The turning point came when I metsomeone important to me. I truly experienced “love” for the first time, I decided to create works with the theme of love.
However, that person is gone, my time of anguish grew. In my search for love,I always received love as an unknown force. It was a different form, but it was there beside me.
Not to find answers, not to regain what I've lost, I continue to search for love and paint.
This book title is “Untitled Skin.”
Skin is something that allows us to feel warmth and love. Holding hands,embracing someone. These actions have a definite warmth, and I believe theycan live at the soft temperature of human skin.
I painted these works instinctively. It's been 11 years since I started callingmyself “artist”.
It would be enough if my artwork could gently touch the heart of just oneperson. If people can be enveloped in kindness and saved by love, even for justa moment, I believe this is my mission.
